Series of spiritual assemblies begins with Father Jack Noble’s presentation on the Church of England

The students at Ealing Independent College were delighted to receive an insightful and thought provoking assembly today from Father Jack Noble, priest and chaplain at St Marylebone Church.

Fr Jack has been involved in a variety of aspects of parish ministry including the life of local church schools (primary and secondary) and outreach and provision for young people and families.

In his assembly, Fr Jack spoke on what it means to be within the Church of England in London today. The assembly provided an understanding and awareness of the Church’s history, structure, outreach, function and purpose in the UK today. Fr Jack also spoke about his journey in becoming a priest. After studying History at the University of Bristol, Jack went on to study for the priesthood at The College of the Resurrection, Mirfield where he undertook further academic studies at the University of Sheffield. Fr Jack is a Trustee of the organisation ‘ACross Country’, a small UK Christian charity that serves refugees and asylum seekers by creating:  "A place of adventure and stillness to be more fully ourselves with others, our world and with God” and was a volunteer speaker for The Leprosy Mission. Jack is also involved in the charity ‘Tariro’ which seeks to care for, home and educate underprivileged young people in Zimbabwe.

The students were keen to ask questions about his life as a Christian and gain a deeper understanding about the origins of religious texts.

The assembly is a part of a series of assemblies providing the students with an insight into world religions and spirituality.
