Created by Principal Allan Cairns in 2014, the College football team competes in-league against similar sized Colleges. Four years of football at the College has seen some ups and downs, with two league championship wins in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, followed by some leaner years in the two seasons which have followed.
Whether winning or losing, a huge number of boys have taken part in training or in competitive matches, and the football team has been an immensely popular activity since it was introduced.
The annual alumni football match is always well attended. It is a great opportunity to see familiar faces, and it quickly becomes clear that the players have not lost their competitive edge.
EIC FC - Championship winning teams
2015-2016

In only their second season, the College entered two teams into the West London Colleges league. Unfortunately, our AS/GCSE team could only manage one win all season, but the A2 side won came through a nailbiting title race with Albemarle College to beat them 3-1 in the final match of the season which doubled as a title decider. The two Ealing derbies both went the way of the A2 side, who lost only one match all season and conceded only 8 goals in their 10 games.
2016-2017

The season which followed saw Ealing successfully defending their title successfully, getting through the whole season unbeaten. They were pushed the whole way in an intense rivalry with DLD College, who also went through the whole season unbeaten. The team scored an incredible 46 goals in their 12 league games.
Alumni matches
The College also hosts an annual alumni match where returning students take on the best that the current cohort has to offer. Videos from the 2018 and 2017 Alumni matches can be watched below:
