Year 9 Admissions

Why Join Ealing Independent College in Year 9?

Year 9 is a key transition point in a student’s education and a natural time to join an independent school. It marks the beginning of preparation for GCSE study, making it an ideal moment to build strong academic foundations and confidence. At EIC, we strongly encourage students to join in Year 9 as a pre-GCSE year, giving them the time and support needed to approach this important stage with clarity and confidence.

As students begin to think about their GCSE options, we offer a flexible and personalised approach to learning. We recognise that every student is different—so whether they wish to focus on core academic subjects or explore a broader range of interests, our small class sizes and tailored teaching ensure they are fully supported. This approach helps students develop independence, grow in confidence, and achieve their full potential.

At Ealing Independent College, we understand that families may have questions about transitioning from another school, preparing for GCSEs, and ensuring the right fit both academically and personally. This FAQ section is designed to provide clear, helpful answers to support you as you explore whether joining us in September 2026 is the right next step for your child.
