Best Performing West London College in Improving Grades

Located in the heart of Ealing, close to Ealing Town Hall, Ealing Independent College is a leading College in West London preparing students aged 13 to 19 for higher education through the GCSE and A-Level programmes, and specialist Medical Science and Business Programmes. The College is amongst the top in the country in improving the grades of our students with a Progress Score of +0.60*. This places us in the top 35 nationwide, with only 3 other London schools also making it into the top.

Students can join our traditional two year GCSE and A-Level courses and one year intensive GCSE and A-Level retakes programme, specifically designed to help students resit subjects and improve their grades to gain access to their first choice university. As a small College, we are able to provide the very best support and a personalised learning experience to ensure each student reaches his or her true potential.

Classes are kept small to provide individual learning support for all of our students, ranging from two to twelve students in each class.

0.60 is our Progress Score, placing us in the top 35 nationwide in helping students improve their grades. We guarantee to ensure that students who join the College leave with improved grades. 

15% of our students achieved AAB or higher in at least two facilitating subjects in 2016. The previous year 32% of our students achieved this. Year on year the College is amongst the top 5 performing West London Colleges in securing AAB or higher.

44% of the grades awarded in Chemistry were A*A and 70% of grades awarded in Biology were A*/B in 2016. The College is highly recognised for its strong Science Department, but also for its Social Sciences. 75% of the grades awarded in Government and Politics in 2016 were A*/B.

45% of our students gained access to a Russell Group University last year, and this year we are expecting over 50% of our students to join a Russell Group University.

70% of our students gained access to their first or second choice university.

*The Progress Score is measured through an interval of +2 to -2. This year the best performing school came in at +1.63 and the worst performing school at -1.22. The results are taken from the Department of Education results announced 19 January 2017.
