2025 A Level Results: Another Exceptional Year

teaching at ealing

We are delighted to share that Ealing Independent College has had another year with some exceptional student achievements and grade enhancements amongst our A Level cohort and our Intensive retake group. The consistency of strong A level results across the College is a hallmark, and a true testament to the passion and dedication of all of the teaching staff for guiding and inspiring our students to achieve their full potential.

Outgoing Principal of Ealing Independent College, Allan Cairns, commented “it is very pleasing to see that the tenacity and diligent hard work of students, which I have seen on a daily basis at the College, has been rewarded. It brings a great deal of pride to see our student body enjoy such success. I wish them all well in their future endeavours. It has been a privilege to be part of their educational journeys.”

Zoe Jarvis, incoming Principal, commented “It is tremendous to see the students’ results, and the range of futures which they will now be pursuing.  The stories of this year show how individualised education really helps young people exceed predicted outcomes and improve vastly on previous results. The qualifications that our students have gained and the careers that they will have are testament to their character and aspiration.”

A high proportion of our students have again made it to their first choice universities, and we are delighted to share some of their successes below:

Pedro, an international student from Brazil, achieved an excellent ABB in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, which has enabled him to pursue his dream of studying Biomedicine. A conscientious, thoughtful and well-liked student, Pedro’s industrious approach to his studies has been rewarded and we wish him every success in the future, as he takes up his place at Cardiff University.

Gabriel pushed himself throughout his A Level studies, and his achievement is all the more impressive given that his previous educational setting, a local independent school, would not allow him to continue to study A Levels there. His grades of A*BC in Photography, Economics and Business Studies are testament to his tireless work-rate and calm, methodical approach. Gabriel will now study Business and Management at Oxford Brookes University.

Lola also performed with distinction, scoring an ABC grades in Business, English Literature and History. Lola’s hard work and dedication throughout her time at the College ensured that she has achieved the results which she deserved. Lola was a key member of the Student Leadership Team and built strong relationships with our governors. We are delighted that she will now go on to study English at Exeter University with a year abroad.

As well as a fantastic performance from our Year 13 students, many students also joined the College to embark on a one-year intensive course with the intention of improving on disappointing performances in their former schools or taking up a brand new subject.

There were some real stand-out success stories this year:

Michael made a brave decision to come to the College for a year with the goal of improving his grades to gain access to better university courses. Having previously attained a BBD grades In Maths, Economics and Further Maths at a London state school, he moved those up to AAB at Ealing. A truly superb achievement. He has achieved a place on a prestigious degree apprenticeship with Goldmann Sachs and Queen Mary University.

Another student who joined the College for one year on the A Level intensive programme was Arian. Having suffered the disappointing setback of achieving CCC in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry respectively, he lifted his profile to ABB, enjoying a 5 grade enhancement. Arian was a popular, industrious and amenable student at the College and he has certainly learned how to study more effectively, going with our very best wishes to study Biomedical sciences.

Congratulations to all students on their A Level results.
