Election fever grips EIC

17 Feb 2016

Election fever took over Ealing Independent College before half term as nominations and voting for the School Council took place.

Potential candidates had to be nominated by both a peer and a member of staff to stand for election.

10 candidates stood and gave speeches to their fellow students on their pledges and how they would represent the student voice within the College.

After passionate and prepared presentations the student body voted for their choices to represent them. In a closely fought election the students who will take a seat on the council are:

  • Abdulaziz (Year 12)
  • Elena (Year 12)
  • Isaga (Year 12)
  • Malcolm (Year 13)
  • Mohamed (Year 12)
  • Maya (Year 10)

The first council meeting will take place following half term and will be chaired by Allan and Liz from the school’s Senior Management Team.
