Post A-level applicants into Medical School

Surag gains gold star at Chemistry Olympiad


High-scoring students of Chemistry are encouraged to enter the International Chemistry Olympiad (UK round 1). Last year Surag joined in and gained a gold certificate. Out of 2165 entries, 50 candidates were awarded the gold certificate. They also received �15 worth of vouchers.

Students at the A2 level can take part in the Olympiad, which is a challenging written test of chemical knowledge. Tackling the paper provides a good opportunity to develop some of the skills which are useful for study at university and beyond.

Last year two students from Ealing Independent College entered the Olympiad and achieved bronze certificates.
