Open Evening & Scholarships
including the Craig Charles Memorial Scholarship
on Thu 11 February 2010, 7.30pm
Students currently in Year 8 or 9, as well as students who are in Year 11 finishing their GCSE studies this year, were invited to attend the Open Evening. Scholarship papers can still be taken by students who would like to test their eligibility for a reduction in fees.
In addition to the annual college scholarships of up to 50% tuition fees, this year the College will be awarding a 100% tuition fees scholarship in memory of Craig Charles, who sadly died in an accident last August.
The Evening will enable parents and prospective students to get a proper understanding of how the College operates. Representatives from the student body will show guests around and be available to give a student’s perspective on how the College is run and managed.
The Principal, together with the Head of GCSE and the Head of Sixth Form, will talk to parents and students about the College, its methods of teaching, monitoring students’ work, and excellent examination results.
Students who want to sit the College’s Scholarship papers will have an opportunity to do so during the Evening.
