Mohamed
Mohamed
joined the college on a scholarship in September 2007 after achieving 13 A*-B grades at GCSE.
From the very beginning Mohamed was a dedicated student. He secured four A grades in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics at the end of his AS
year;
he converted three of these to A grades at A-level and will now pursue his
dream of reading Dentistry at the university of Cardiff.
Post A-level applicants into Medical School
Three students who have completed their A-level
courses at the College and submitted their UCAS form in September 2007,
have
been given unconditional offers to read Medicine in September 2008.
Sami writes: I joined the
college with the dream of
doing Medicine. It was my first experience with the UK
education system and EalingIndependentCollege couldn't have made it any easier for me. I had the luxury
of small
classes, excellent student support and passionate teachers. Having these
resources has given me the best chances of succeeding in my goals.
Niloofar's tells about her
experience: I came over
from Iran in 2005 and joined EalingIndependentCollege for the two-year A-level programme. Here I was taught by
very
experienced teachers and I have been able to adapt to the different
educational
system in the UK very quickly and easily. I find the diversity of the
students'
backgrounds interesting and by voluntary giving extra mathematics and
physics
lessons I have been able to gain experience from another aspect of the
College.
Sohaib says: At
Ealing Independent College I flourished both on an academic and personal
level.
Excellent teaching combined with a friendly, yet dedicated environment
helped
me to excel in my studies and fulfil my ambition to study medicine.
Coming from
a completely different education system, it seemed impossible to
overcome the
challenges that one has to face in pursuit of a medical career in the UK; but thanks to the
College I now secured a place at medical school.
