The College was founded in 1992 when it opened in smaller premises as Ealing Tutorial College. At that time the College specialised in preparing students for entry into Medicine and Dentistry and related courses through A-level programmes exclusively.
Demand for a more diverse choice of A-levels soon started to come in and the numbers on roll were increasing, so it was decided to move the College to the current building in 1996. In 1998 the College started to offer one year retake GCSE courses and in 2000 further expansion took place by admitting under 16 students for the first time.
Dr Ian Moores took over as Principal in 2002. He prepared the College for inspection by the DfES. The College was successful in the preliminary inspection which enabled full registration with the Department of Education to take place. The College is now regularly inspected by Ofsted and in addition it received full accreditation by BAC in 2004.
