AS and A2 Courses, A Level Retakes, A-Level Retake (A level)
Traditional two year A-level: in general, students follow four AS subjects in the first year and take three of these subjects to A2 level.
Intensive A-level (one year): it is also possible to study the AS and A2 component of the A-level course in one year, but this is normally only recommended for those students who have studied at least part of the course before.
Intensive A2 course (September to January): this is aimed at those students who failed to reach their desired A-level grade and want to resit the A2 component again or part of it in a short time period. This programme is offered in certain subjects only because some of the examination boards do not offer all the A2 units in January.
