External Candidates - Jan. 2011
Please read carefully before booking.
We offer external candidates the opportunity to (re)sit A-level unit exams. The College has limited space for external candidates, and only for the exams listed below.
We do not accept external students for examinations where coursework forms part of the unit. However, we do accept some candidates for units where the coursework mark can be carried forward from another centre. Please read all the information before booking your exams.
The online price includes all administration, hall hire and invigilation costs.
You can use the search facility to find your exams and cash-in bookings, or browse through the pages. Please book by clicking the units you want to take, and the button at the end of the page. You will then be asked for your details, and payment. Please have your unique identifier number ready (13 digits, as printed on exam result statements; enter a few zeros if you have no UCI yet), as well as your bankcard for payment.
After payment please ensure you click the continue button to complete your order. This will ensure that you receive the confirmation email.

Once your payment has been accepted you will receive an acknowledgement by email. (Please contact the college if you have booked, but did not receive the confirmation email.) This will be followed by a timetable in the post, which is to be regarded as your statement of entry. Do not forget to note the exam dates in your diary at the time of booking. Also read the information on the additional page (link below).
If you require an AS or Advance level qualification to be certified (that is: receive your overall grade) you will have to apply for a cash-in. The relevant cash-in buttons appear among the list of units offered in each subject. Please choose your cash-in code carefully. If you request a cash-in after the online booking facility has closed, you will have to pay a late cash-in fee of £30. Certificates are send out by registered post some two months after the exam results are out.
Prices will change as the exams draw near, because late fees will be applied by the exam boards. Late fees will start on Monday 18 October, and will be £150 for most units. Final closing date for entry: Thursday 16 December 2010.
